Vivian Chen, Supervisor, RECE, BA. of Education
Vivian, a certified Mandarin teacher with more than 15 years teaching experience in both Canada and China, has won many awards for her excellence in teaching. She is also a registered early childhood educator who loves to work with young children and understands and respects their individual needs. She creates an interactive classroom with many age-appropriate activities that stimulate students' interest in learning.
Shirley Wan, ECA, BA., MA. Of Sociology
Shirley received her Bachelor degree with a major in Chinese Literature in China. She also earned her Master in Sociology from Acadia University, Canada. Shirley has been teaching elementary and pre-school children mandarin since graduation. Shirley’s education and work experience inspired her with unique teaching philosophy and methodology and she enjoys working with children.
Mandy Wang, BA of Education
Mandy graduated with a Bachelor of Education in Chinese language and literature, has been teaching for more than 15 years both in China and in Canada. Mandy is a very creative teacher and develops great rapport with her students, while designing lessons to meet their needs. She has high expectations of her students and encourages them to succeed with full potentials.
Yanhe(Holly) Wu, RECE
Holly is a certified Early Childhood Educator. She graduated from Seneca College, Early Childhood Education program, and had four years of experiences working with children of different ages. Holy used to work in China at a bilingual daycare, and she speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Holly shows her great energy and patience while working with young children. She creates a variety of games in her math class and uses different types of arts to engage children to learn the best.
Wendy Xie, ECA, B.Ed.
Wendy graduated from an ECA program in 2009 and has been working in the field of early childhood education for many years. She is a hard worker and very self-motivated. Wendy shows her great patience, kindness and flexibility while working with children and other staff.
Cheng (Lydia) Liang, RECE
Lydia graduated from Early Childhood Education program at George Brown College in 2006. She has worked at York University Co-operative Daycare Center in the past six years. While working as a kindergarten teacher in China, Lydia received many rewards for her outstanding teaching. She speaks fluent Mandarin, Cantonese and English. Lydia is very responsible and dedicated. She encourages children to learn and explore, creating a healthy and positive learning environment for young children.
Xiao (Shelly) Zhang, RECE
Shelly graduated with an Early Childhood Education diploma from George Brown College. She was a kindergarten teacher in China and has been working with children in daycare centers for many years in Canada. As a professional, Shelly applies a variety of teaching strategies including modeling, demonstrating and applying positive reinforcement in order to provide a positive learning environment to children. Shelly loves arts and encourages children to use arts to express their imagination and thoughts.
Yan (July) Zheng, RECE, Bachelor of Law & Business
July graduated from Early Childhood Education program at Seneca College. She loves children and enjoys working with them. She is very hardworking and always contributes her energy and time to the class. July translates many English songs into Chinese and engages children with music and movements activities in class. She is also a yoga enthusiast, designing a variety of physical activities with fun elements to help children with motor skills.
Bing (Kathy) Liu, RECE
Kathy graduated from Early Childhood Education program at Centennial College with excellent academic achievement. She was an elementary school teacher in China, with many years teaching experience working with young children. After moving to Canada, Kathy has been working in the field of early childhood education for years. Kathy is a great storyteller and loves using stories to engage young children in learning with fun.
