Have you ever thought about participating in Leadership & Community Service Program in China and fulfill the "community service/volunteer hours” of your graduation requirements? This unique program is customized for high school students who look for a once-in-a-life experience to expand their global awareness and gain practical leadership experience. You will work/teach elementary age children, visit unique sites in China, learn Chinese language and embrace yourself with the culture. Participants will earn 60-80 service hours at the conclusion of the program. Space is limited to a maximum of 30 students per session.

Program Highlights:

  • Learn Chinese Language and culture
  • Develop leadership skills and teaching skills
  • Teach 40 hour English to Chinese students in local school
  • Share exchange activities with ESL teacher and local students
  • Visit popular places in the city and experience local life
  • Travel to other cities and places and embrace the culture

Participants Qualification:

  • Teen of 14 year old and up
  • Mature, independent, friendly
  • Interest in foreign culture and language
  • Flexible and adaptable to different environments
  • In good health or physical capability
  • Desire to work with young children – teach, lead and care
  • Open to meet and work with strangers, a fun personality
  • Prefer to have experience working with young children

* You do not need to be able to speak Chinese to enter the program.

Camp fee: $2490 per student

  • Chinese visa application fee
  • Separate pickup/drop off of $50 one-way per vehicle
  • Separate booking fee (air ticket, hotel, transportation etc.) of $20 per booking
  • Late charges and currency surcharges

Discounts:

  • Early bird discount $100 for each student
  • Sibling discount of $100 is given to the 2nd /3rd child of the same family
  • Group discount is also available - $100 discount for a group of three or more

Payment Schedule:

  • $500 deposit per student, including $200 no-refundable administration fee
  • $300 airfare deposit
  • You may make the payment in one cheque
  • Remaining balance or full payment with initial application
