Level 1 - Beginner (Module 1-3, 45 hours)

The beginner level equips students with essential Mandarin Chinese communication skills for everyday situations. It starts with basic conversations about greetings, introductions, and time, then progresses to topics like schedules, family, and occupations. By the end, students will be comfortable handling daily tasks such as shopping and making phone calls, and be ready to continue advancing their Mandarin skills.

Level 2 - Survival (Module 4-6, 45 hours)

Students continue expanding their Mandarin language skills. This level covers practical topics such as clothing, reservations, hotel stays, and dining out. They learn to navigate everyday conversations, including asking for help and expressing preferences. As they progress, students practice situations like visiting cafés, discussing weather, and asking for directions. By the end, they can engage in conversations on familiar topics in different social settings.

Level 3 - Elementary (Module 7-9, 45 hours)

Students advance their Mandarin language skills by learning on more complex topics, such as traveling in China, staying at hotels, and navigating banking transactions. They build on earlier modules, using more specific vocabulary for formal and informal situations. This level also includes practical scenarios like visiting the hospital, using public transportation, and shopping, helping students gain confidence and fluency in real-life interactions.

Level 4 - Functional (Module 10-12, 45 hours)

Students refine their Mandarin language skills by learning advanced topics like fitness, education, and Chinese tea culture, using more detailed vocabulary. They also explore leisure, safety, and social spaces in China, learning to navigate parks, bars, and emergencies with greater fluency. This level focuses on formal events, travel planning, and cross-city travel, helping students use complex vocabulary and expressions for more detailed conversations.

Level 5 - Pre-Intermediate (Module 13-15, 45 hours)

At this level, students build on their previous knowledge to handle more complex situations in Mandarin. They deepen their understanding of Chinese grammar, vocabulary, and sentence structures, with a focus on advanced conversation and cultural fluency. Students can choose to learn Chinese characters alongside conversation practice or focus solely on oral proficiency. The goal is to enhance confidence in both formal and informal communication while fostering a deeper understanding of cultural differences.
