Course Description

Learn a new language or advance your Mandarin skills during the March break. Our spring themed Mandarin Immersion Virtual Camp helps children to keep engaged and inspired in a fun and safe way! We utilize interactive games, role play and hands-on activities as tools for language learning. For school age groups, a mini project will be assigned to each student to complete and present to the class on the last day of the camp. Students will be placed in the right class according to their age and language level. All of the virtual classes will take place via Zoom.

Courses

  • Kinder Mandarin (4-5 yrs old)
    • • Engage young children with Mandarin songs, stories, music and movements. the whole family!
  • Standard Mandarin (5-12 yrs old)
    • • For students from Mandarin speaking families to advance their reading and writing skills in Pinyin and Chinese characters.
  • Happy Mandarin (5-12 yrs old)
    • • For students from non-Mandarin speaking families to improve their listening and speaking skills through interactive games and conversations.

Placement Assessment

  • A FREE placement assessment will be offered to all new students to ensure they will be placed in the right level.

Payment

  • Full payment (tuition & registration fees) must be paid before the class starts.
  • $25 administrative charge will apply to each non-sufficient funds cheque.

Cancellation/Refund/Credit

  • No refund/credit will be granted for occasional absence and cancellation once the camp starts.
  • Requests to cancel the camp registration must be received two weeks before the camp starts.
  • Cancellation requests must be submitted in writing; telephone requests will not be honored.
  • A $50 administration fee will be charged for each refund. If refund is recorded as school credit, administration will be waived.
  • School credit is valid for 2 years and can be used for any programs within TMS.

Make-up Class

  • No free makeup lesson is provided, but learning materials will be provided upon request.
