COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is tailored for students with advanced listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills, along with a vocabulary of 800 words and more, this course aims to enrich their understanding of Chinese history and culture. It seeks to provide insights into China's extensive geography, centuries-old history, and rich cultural heritage for Chinese heritage learners and enthusiasts of Chinese culture.

  • Registration Start Date: March 1st, for new school year

“LEVELED MANDARIN READING” PROGRAM

To enhance your children’s Mandarin learning and help them to develop a lifelong love of reading, we partnered with “Leveled Mandarin Reading” program to all school-age students. This program allows students to get exposed to new Chinese characters, words and phrases used in different contexts while helping them to understand how and when to use them correctly. By encouraging students to read extensively, it further helps them to improve their ability to communicate effectively in Mandarin.

PLACEMENT ASSESSMENT

  • A FREE placement assessment will be offered to all new students to ensure they will be placed in the right level.
  • Toronto Mandarin School reserves the right to request a student to repeat a course if necessary.

TRIAL CLASS

  • Free trial class is available upon request. Please contact us.

PAYMENT

  • Full payment (tuition & registration fees) must be paid before the class starts.
  • $25 administrative charge will apply to each non-sufficient funds cheque.
  • New students will be charged a one-time, non-refundable registration fee of $60/family.

CANCELLATION/REFUND/CREDIT

  • 2-weeks written notice is required for cancellation.
  • Refund will apply to the untaken lessons after cancellation, excluding notice period. All refunds will be subject to a $50 administration fee. The registration fee is non-refundable.
  • If refund is recorded as school credit, administration fee will be waived.
  • If a student will be absent for more than 3 consecutive classes, the missed classes can be saved as school credit only if a written notice is provided 2 weeks prior to missing the first class.
  • A full refund (or credit) will be given to students if there are cancellations or changes initiated by the school. There are no refunds for weather-related cancellations.
  • School credit is valid for 2 years and can be used for any programs within Toronto Mandarin School.

MAKEUP LESSON

  • No free makeup lesson is provided, but weekly learning materials will be provided upon request.
